Trying to run a home and family, work full time and attend my keep fit

Trying to run a home and family, work full time and attend my keep fit classes had started to take its toll. I was tired, grumpy and had a short temper. We had been living in our new home for over 12 months and there were still boxes everywhere. Only the living room had been decorated and the kitchen was a dump!
My husband had agreed to take a week away from his classes as a university teacher to renovate the kitchen. I had asked him to ring the skip hire company and arrange delivery and I had ordered my new kitchen to be delivered. I was sick of him getting defensive every time I mentioned house work and him having excuses of 'I've got to plan my lessons' every time I asked him to do something. Enough was enough.
The day arrived that the skip should be delivered and I couldn't find my husband anywhere. He had left me a note on our wobbly kitchen table saying he had gone fishing. Can you believe it. I was so annoyed. I had given up my keep fit classes to do this and he couldn't be bothered to help. So much for his lessons and how important work and home was, he could take time to go fishing but not help with the house!
The skip arrived and I ripped the kitchen out on my own, I filled the skip alone and started to put my new kitchen cupboards together. I was going to teach him a couple of lessons in life. I was going to prove a point that I didn't need him and had a defensive barrier put up that I didn't know existed until now.
When he arrived home, the kitchen was half ready. He was shocked that I had completed this on my own and started to get all defensive when he realised that I wasn't talking to him, saying he didn't realise we were starting today. I told him I was sick of nagging him all of the time and him coming up with excuses, if that's the way he wants to live, fine. But he won't be living like that with me. I work hard and want to come home to relax and if that means doing it myself thent I would rather live alone!
He does anything I ask straight away now.
