I have an interest in making skip bin hire deliveries and I think I am going to start going to a special school that gives classes about to to be an hgv driver. It is located in St. Charles, Missouri and will start enrolling the young drivers in September.

The classes are hands on and in classrooms and will prepare theyoung drivers for taking the hgvdriver license andthe dangers of operating large commercial vehicles. The main instructor is an experienced hgvdriver and has been in the business for 17 years. He will make the students complete obstacle courses and give them classes about the difference between driving a normal vehicle and and hgv.

The man who started the business believed that such a school should be founded after he learned that a young hgv driver fromthe company that he worked for had completely flipped over his tractor trailer onto 6 cars when he missed a turn.Five people were injured and twowere killed in the crash. The boy himself survived, butthe incident completely ruined his life and the guilt of the whole situation still plagues him to this day.The instructorbelieves the whole terrible thing could have been prevented if young drivershad more training before they hit theroad.he founded the school two years after the accident occurred and named it after the boy. He also has amemorialin the main hall of the school to commemorate those who had lost their lives in the crash and theirfamilies.

At the school there are actualhgv vehicles andvery largeasfalt space where the students can practice being an hgv driver. Mostkids want to jump right into the truck, but they have to endure sit down classesbefore the can get behind the wheel. The obstacle course on campus features wide turns, loading dock, and parking spaces that all of the young people have to practice on. The instructor will also be timing how long it takes each student to break when stopping and paying close attention to how they handle driving such a large vehicle where blind spots will be inevitable. Using your mirrors properly is essential when driving such a truck. I am very excited to begin all of this training and hopefully I will end up being the star student of the class!
