John was riding his blue scooter to a friends house, when he collided into another lady on a bike. He flew off of the scooter and landed approximately five feet into a near by fence. The fence post cut into his body, and his head hit one of the metal fence post. He lay there unconscious for about twenty minutes, before the police and ambulance arrived at the crash. The paramedics carefully placed John on a stretch board and loaded him into the ambulance. The lady on the bike had simply fell off into a nearby ditch and only suffered some scrapes and bruises. She had a cellphone, and called local emergency numbers to assist them with the crash. When John arrived at the hospital, he was considered in very critical condition. The doctor performed an X-Ray and a CT Scan to discover that he suffered severe damage to the left side of his brain. The crash was reported in the local news almost immediately, because John did not have any personal identification. The news described and showed pictures of the crash and of John's scooter to help identify him. Shortly, John's mother received a call from her very close friend to say that her son had been in a horrible accident. She was told about John colliding into a lady on a bike, and that only John suffered severe health injuries. John's mother rushed to the hospital to find that John would have to be flown to another hospital due to his severe brain injury. After surgery, John was found to only have use of one side of his body. The doctors said that in time, he could regain the use of that side of the body if the brain heals itself. John knew that he would never be the same again. Not only did John suffer mentally and physically, but he suffered by the law as well. The judge at his court hearing stated that in order for John to ever drive another motorized vehicle that he would have to attend a variety of driving schools. One year later, John recovered completely from his injuries and is currently dating the lady he collided into named Amy. John and Amy expect to have their first child within a few months!
