I had my driving lesson last year, and it was a really good one. First, the driving lessons cost was so minimal, I could barely believe it. Second, my instructor was very nice and in fact, we got a long very well.
The only downside in that lesson, though, was the vehicle I used; it was a battered Honda City.My mothereven joked that I was using a "classic car." I did not see that much of a problem, though, as my "classic car"was doing fine on the road. I was even amazed by its performance despite its age. I gathered from my instructor that the car wasseven years old. Wow! It was really a classic car.
The driving schools here, I learned, bought cars from low insurance groups. Small and inexpensive cars have low insurance. But I don't get it how they could stand such idea, as there is actually too much risk on the road, especially with student drivers on the wheel. They should opt for cars from high insurance groupsfor high insurance claims in case of accidents. But well, that's their business already.
Our carswere also bought from low insurance groups, so I should not complain.
Anyway, my lesson was for three days. Some schools give four or sometimes one week, depending on the student's need. I opted for a three-day course, as I knew if I'd concentrate on it, I could easily learn it. The rest of the learning process would then be applied once I'd be allowed to use the family car.
The three-day session went on smoothly, and I passed all the tests the school gave me after my last session. Most of the driving schools these days test their students if they have actually learned something from the driving course. If not, they either retake the test or the course. The expenses are shouldered by the student.
I now drive a yellow Toyota Corolla. My joker of a mom even calls it "Bumblebee" from "Transformers." I did not pick the color, though. It is my dad's old car. I was supposed to paint it black, but after watching "Transformers 2" recently, and fell in love with Bumblebee, I decided to stick with the old color. It's actually cute. I love my old Bumblebee now. Thanks to Transformers!
